- Television winner (R20 000): Alvin Naicker (of Supersport for live soccer coverage including the MTN 8 final and the Telkom Charity Cup.)
- Best Newcomer winner (R5 000): Bob Skinstad for his rugby commentaries on Supersport.
- Most Media Friendly Sports Personality of the Year: Springbok Sevens rugby coach Paul Treu.
- SAB Sports Writers Hall of Fame: veteran journalist Joe Latakgomo.
