Amalgamated Beverage Industries (ABI) is the leading soft drink business in the international SABMiller plc group of companies and remains one of the largest producers and distributors of The Coca-Cola Company brands in the southern hemisphere.
The company's core skills lie in producing, distributing and supporting a wide variety of
the world's leading soft drink brands, including sparkling and still soft drinks, sport and energy drinks, bottled water and fruit juices.
ABI reaches about 30 000 direct and 10 000 indirect customers on a weekly cycle. These include all manner of outlets, from tuck shops and spazas to supermarket groups, restaurants and wholesalers.
ABI accounts for approximately 60% of Coca-Cola's sales in South Africa and has five state-of-the art manufacturing plants (Midrand, Pretoria, Devland, Phoenix and Premier Place).
