The Italian brewery Birra Peroni was first established in 1846 by Francesco Peroni near Vigevano, Italy. It was his son, Giovanni Peroni, who established the Nastro Azzurro (‘blue ribbon’) brand that found great market appeal. An international premium brand, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, was specially crafted in 1963 and was introduced into South Africa in 2005 following SABMiller’s acquisition of the Italian brewer in 2003. It is now available in over 30 countries worldwide.

There’s something about the Italian way of doing things – the combination of craftsmanship, an effortless sense of style and a touch of boldness, brewed to an authentic Italian recipe, ensures that Peroni remains a timeless classic. It is Italian style applied to beer – the new designer label from Italy.
