While most of the brewing world consists of ordinary lager brews, Hansa offers styles of beer beyond the obvious. In keeping with the Hansa promise to brew beer styles beyond regular lager, Hansa Pilsener first challenged regular lager rules with the launch of South Africa's first pilsener style beer, Hansa Pilsener, in 1975.
In the Hansa tradition to venture beyond the ordinary, May 2007 saw the launch of a new variant, Hansa Marzen Gold. Hansa Marzen Gold is brewed with the glow of slow-roasted amber malt to impart a rich brewhouse flavour that's exceptionally drinkable.
From the bracingly crisp Pilsener to the full rich Marzen Gold, Hansa offers a more interesting beer experience and a refreshing change from ordinary lager.

In the same tradition, Hansa Marzen Gold is also no ordinary beer. Brewed with the glow of slow roasted amber malt to impart a rich brewhouse flavour that’s exceptionally drinkable.
Hansa Pilsener and Hansa Marzen Gold have aligned their packaging to create unique features which Hansa owns. The common iconography is the Hansa map and ship which represent the journeys of the different styles of beer from Europe to our shores. The unique intrinsic icon in the middle of the map on each variant emphasises the different key intrinsic benefits.
