1. Print
· Sports Feature of the Year: An outstanding sports’ feature or in-depth interview about Sport or the business of Sport
· Sports Column of the Year: Regular sports’ columns about Sport or the business of Sport
· Overall Winner: SAB Sports Media Award - Print: The Sports Journalist who has contributed the most in terms of consistent and excellent written sports journalism over the year.
2. Photography (Print and Online)
· Action Shot of the Year: The one shot that depicts the defining moment in a particular sport
· Moment of the Year: The one shot that evokes the mood and atmosphere during a sporting event
· Overall Winner: SAB Sports Media Award - Photography: The photographer who has consistently produced excellent photographic work over the course of the year.
3. New Media
· Best Web Contributor of the Year: The person who has used the Internet to effectively communicate about Sport or the business of Sport throughout the year
· Best Sports Blog of the Year: The stand-out blog of the year, dedicated to Sport and everything associated with it
· Overall Winner: SAB Sports Media Award – New Media: The person who made the biggest contribution in using the New Media space to promote Sport or the business of Sport throughout the year
4. Radio
· Sports Commentator of the Year: The person who has delivered consistently great sports commentary over the year
· Sports Presenter of the Year: The person who has excelled as a presenter on a live sport or magazine programme
· Overall Winner: SAB Sports Media Award – Radio: The person who has made the biggest contribution to the field of sports journalism in the area of radio, over the year.
5. Television
· Sports Commentator of the Year: The person who has delivered consistently great sports commentary over the year
· Sports Reporter of the Year: The person who has excelled in the reporting of a Sports or sports-related story
· Sports Presenter of the Year: The person who has excelled as a presenter on a live sport or magazine programme
· Sports Producer of the Year: The person who has excelled in producing either a live-to-air or pre-recorded sports programme
· Overall Winner: SAB Sports Media Award – Television: The person who has made the largest contribution to TV Sports Journalism over the year.
