Castle Lite: Our Extra Cold Story 

1994. A new day dawned on South Africa, and with it came new opportunities, hopes and possibilities for all. It was in this atmosphere that Castle Lite burst into the beer market, challenging the status quo, changing the premium beer market forever.

Local and premium, it's the only South African beer served at -4 degrees. Our biggest accomplishment to date is changing the mindset of beer drinkers across our nation. Back in the day, light beer was for "lighties", but we deliver a full flavoured, smooth and refreshing taste, which invigorates and refreshes like only an extra cold Castle Lite can. 

Over the years, the way we've packaged our beer has also changed. Along with our 330ml and 440ml cans, the 340ml and returnable 660ml green bottle, we've also recently introduced a new, extra Cold Castle Lite Draught - the only draught served at sub zero in South Africa.

Furthermore, we've also introduced innovative blue liners inside all our cans to seal in the fresh taste and keep Castle Lite extra cold. All of this led to Castle Lite being the largest "green glass" premium brand in the market. In this short time, we've introduced South Africa to Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Extra Cold Fridges, a Mobile Ice Bar and perhaps most famously, our Snow Castle, which lets the consumer know when their Castle Lite is at the perfect drinking temperature. And that's only the beginning...

Castle Lite is made extra cold and served extra cold.
